Butterflies, birds and flowers go festive

I don’t know about you, but I like to get creative at Christmas. Not for me the ready made garlands and wreaths – I tend to look for plain versions and embellish them myself, according to my decorative theme of the season. It always feels more fun and it’s definitely more rewarding.

So I really love the clip on birds, butterflies and flowers we have brought into the QVC range this season. There are just so many ways to use them.

The clip on peacocks in teal or silver look fantastic on a garland along a mantle piece with their tails cascading down. They also look wonderful clipped onto curtain tie backs.

The butterflies look particularly good perching on our glitter trees but equally, you could put them on the Alison at Home decorative ladder, clipped to our branch curtain in a vase, or hanging from our pre lit branches. I would also use them to decorate a present – a gift within a gift.

Which brings me to the glorious glitter chrysanthemums in gold or teal, and the giant glitter blooms in teal or taupe- imagine these clustered around a green wreath or perhaps you want a tree with a difference this year and decorate it just with flowers as opposed to baubles. Or how about using them to decorate your festive table. You could even make up your own gift bouquet of everlasting flowers clipped to faux stems.

Once you have them in your hand your creative instincts will get to work and I promise you, the results will be amazing – do send me pictures on social media, I’d love to see them.
